About the Role

Ricardo is seeking a highly skilled SQA Engineer to join our Performance Products division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of purchase parts from concept to series production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit suppliers and contribute to the nomination process
  • Perform supplier quality assurance activities within the supply chain, including APQP, PPAP, and surveillance visits
  • Create and manage customer quality requirements that can be cascaded to the supply chain
  • Generate goods receiving inspection documents for pre-production and production phases
  • Ensure series process and part approval at product launch
  • Collaborate with procurement, design, and system engineers to achieve cost-effective, high-quality parts
  • Proactively and reactively improve supplier performance, including problem resolution of parts quality issues
  • Contribute to the parts quality implications of product and process changes
  • Participate in continuous improvement by developing and introducing new quality-focused processes and procedures
Requirements
  • APQP/PPAP experience
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing processes and components
  • Understanding of geometric design and tolerancing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience with quality systems, quality tools, and techniques
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • NPI and/or Supplier Quality Assurance experience, preferably in the automotive sector
Desirable Qualifications
  • Knowledge of automotive technology and product development
  • Auditor training to ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949
  • Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing and six sigma
