SQA Engineer

Ricardo is seeking a highly skilled SQA Engineer to join our Performance Products division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of purchase parts from concept to series production.
Key Responsibilities- Audit suppliers and contribute to the nomination process
- Perform supplier quality assurance activities within the supply chain, including APQP, PPAP, and surveillance visits
- Create and manage customer quality requirements that can be cascaded to the supply chain
- Generate goods receiving inspection documents for pre-production and production phases
- Ensure series process and part approval at product launch
- Collaborate with procurement, design, and system engineers to achieve cost-effective, high-quality parts
- Proactively and reactively improve supplier performance, including problem resolution of parts quality issues
- Contribute to the parts quality implications of product and process changes
- Participate in continuous improvement by developing and introducing new quality-focused processes and procedures
- APQP/PPAP experience
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes and components
- Understanding of geometric design and tolerancing
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience with quality systems, quality tools, and techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience
- NPI and/or Supplier Quality Assurance experience, preferably in the automotive sector
- Knowledge of automotive technology and product development
- Auditor training to ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949
- Knowledge of IATF 16949
- Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing and six sigma
