Healthcare Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Healthcare Assistant. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support service users to meet their outcomes and involve families and professionals in their care.
  • Provide personal care that protects service users' dignity and promotes independence.
  • Promote enabling approaches to support service users in making their own decisions.
  • Deliver personalized care through individual choice and control.
  • Be a strong and effective communicator, documenting, reporting, and sharing information with the right people at the right time.
  • Connect service users to their communities and access local support and services.

Induction Training:

We offer comprehensive induction training to ensure you have the skills and knowledge to excel in this role. Our training program covers:

  • Be Caring values and going Above & Beyond to meet personal outcomes.
  • Dignity and respect, safeguarding, and equality and diversity.
  • Confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Fluids and nutrition and safe administration of medication.
  • Moving and positioning, basic life support, and pressure sores (React to Red).
  • Infection prevention and control, health and safety.
  • Learning Disabilities (Oliver McGowan Tier 1), mental health, and capacity.

Working Hours:

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work within our shift patterns, which include early starts and weekend working. Our shift patterns include:

  • Early shift: 7:00am - 2:00pm.
  • Late shift: 3:00pm - 10:00pm (finish time depends on public transport times).

Our Healthcare Assistants work in the following locations:

  • Beeston (LS11).
  • Holbeck (LS11).
  • Cottingley (LS11).
  • Middleton (LS10).
  • Hunslet (LS10).
  • Belle Isle (LS10).
  • Robin Hood (LS10).

Pay:

Our Healthcare Assistants are paid £12.50 per hour, with mileage, bonus schemes, and other benefits. Our pay structure includes:

  • Mileage: 45p per mile.
  • Bonus schemes: up to £300 new starter, £300 Refer a Friend, £300 annual bonus.
