IT Support Engineer Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship is designed for motivated and aspiring IT professionals who want to gain hands-on experience in managing and maintaining IT systems, networks, and software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the installation, management, and maintenance of computer systems and networks.
  • Provide technical support to clients, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Ensure the efficient running of IT infrastructure, including both physical and virtual components.
  • Help in monitoring and maintaining IT security to protect against digital threats.
  • Work closely with senior IT engineers and other team members to deliver effective IT solutions and services.
Requirements:
  • 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent, including English Language and Maths.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and software.
  • Understanding of IT security principles (preferred but not required).
Training and Development:

Estio apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry-experienced training team.

Throughout the apprenticeship, learners receive coaching, help, and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician, with training in how to:

  • Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure – physical or virtual hardware, software, network services, and data storage.
  • Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment, and monitoring of infrastructure components.
  • Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintain system performance.
  • Maintain regulatory, legal, and professional standards.
