About the Role

Ocado Logistics is seeking a highly skilled Senior Installation Manager to lead the implementation of Grid Structures and Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) in our partner's automated facilities. As a key member of our Project Delivery Talent Pool, you will be responsible for managing the installation process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the installation of allocated grid structures and MHE, ensuring compliance with agreed contractor cost, install method, quality standards, safety requirements, and schedule.
  • Provide leadership and management of project stakeholders, suppliers, and site personnel, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement effective installation plans, considering buildability and access, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of the installation.
  • Manage and coordinate all Ocado and subcontractor activity onsite, ensuring seamless communication and effective project management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing complex, multi-million-pound installations, including project management methods at this scale.
  • Strong understanding of national/local legislation for construction/engineering compliance and safety.
  • Ability to work with legal teams on legal construction standards and utilizing legal tools to mitigate risk.
  • Formal project management qualification and a degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience.
  • National/local HSE competency permitting access to construction sites.
