Job Summary:

Maldon Partners, a leading European private debt asset manager, is seeking an experienced Investment Operations Specialist to join their team in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing operational support to the firm's Working Capital Finance strategy, encompassing deal execution, documentation, and asset servicing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review transaction documentation from an operational and administrative perspective, focusing on settlements and maturities, data capture, program-specific processes, and other lifecycle events.
  • Prepare deal term sheets and oversee the allocation process.
  • Assist in the preparation of transaction documentation for secondary transactions and liaise with the Fund Finance team regarding assets processed, payments made, and other relevant data.
  • Manage the operational process of closing, funding, and booking of new investments.
  • Involvement in defining operational requirements for new product initiatives, including drafting operational process flows and assisting with service provider selection.
  • Deal onboarding with Fund Administrator/Trustee/Investment Platforms, building out reporting and processes.
  • Utilization and quarterly reporting, as well as waterfall oversight and sign-off of fund administrator reporting.
  • Coordinate with platforms, trade counterparties, and administrators regarding scheduled lifecycle events, such as new trades and repayments.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for WCF products, providing additional support and training as required to administrators.
  • Provide oversight to reconciliation processes and act as a point of escalation for any unresolved booking issues.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of investment operations experience gained within the Working Capital/Trade Finance space.
  • Good knowledge of transaction documentations.
  • Experience in Inventory Finance is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Notes settlements and Corporate actions processes.
  • Excellent Excel and PowerBI skills.
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Great communication skills.

What We Offer:

Maldon Partners offers a competitive salary of £60,000-£70,000 (some flexibility) depending on experience, plus excellent benefits and a bonus package. The role is based in Manchester, with hybrid working arrangements available.
