Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our team at the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre (BHOC). As a key member of our senior nursing team, you will be responsible for providing clinical expertise, leadership, and guidance to our nursing staff.

Main Duties
  • Act as a clinical expert providing specialist knowledge and advice to nurses and junior medical staff.
  • Work towards safe and timely discharge plans and identify barriers to discharge.
  • Support the nursing team and act as a positive role model promoting best clinical and professional practice.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, actively involved in recruitment and staff development reviews.
  • Participate in systematic monitoring of performance and evaluation of nursing practice.

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse Level 1
  • Current NMC Registration
  • Evidence of formal ongoing professional development
  • Relevant accredited post-registration qualification at level 3 (desirable)
  • Qualification in Teaching, Assessing and Mentoring (desirable)
