About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Home Manager to join our team at Domus Recruitment. As a Home Manager, you will be responsible for the overall running of a 22-bedded Residential care home for the elderly in Carlisle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall running of the home, including standards, quality of care, recruitment, and training.
  • Managing budgets and ensuring the home operates within financial constraints.
  • Staff appraisals, meetings, and disciplinaries to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Liaising with outside Healthcare professionals regarding care and ensuring the home meets the required standards.
  • Building strong relationships with regional and operations directors to ensure the home's success.
  • Ensuring company policies are followed and adhered to, maintaining a high-quality work environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience managing a Residential home, with a proven track record of success.
  • NVQ Level 5 in management or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with the Elderly and Dementia patients, with a deep understanding of their needs.
  • Managing budgets and business skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Longevity in previous roles, with a strong commitment to staff development and training.
  • Ability to manage teams, improve services, quality, and performance, with a focus on excellence.
