The Role

We're seeking a talented Maths and English Tutor to join our team of online educators. As a Tutor, you'll work in one of our vibrant virtual learning centres, supporting hundreds of fearless learners who attend their sessions every week.

Your key objectives will be to:

  • Teach - bring our mission to life, tailoring your teaching approach to support our members in achieving consistent progress.
  • Inspire - build strong relationships, inspiring all children to become fearless learners.
  • Demonstrate Progress - support children to recognise progress, developing their reflective skills to identify their own progress.
  • Deliver Quality Customer Experience - inspire your members and their families, supporting their needs to ensure they get the most from our service, while prioritising safeguarding and member wellbeing at all times.

Logistics

We're committed to making the application process as smooth as possible. Here's what you can expect:

  • Submit your CV and complete your application.
  • Complete an assessment that involves a short maths and English test and a 2-question video interview.
  • Take part in a live Teams interview with a member of our recruitment team.

Pay and Benefits

As a Tutor with Explore Learning, you'll be paid hourly based on your age and the number of hours you work. Your starting hourly pay will be:

Under 18 - £7.30

18-20 - £8.80

21+ - £11.60

Plus, you'll receive further uplifts to your base hourly pay due to holiday entitlement and based on the number of hours you've worked.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, you'll need:

  • A grade 6 or above in maths and English Language GCSE (or equivalent).
  • To be age 17 or over.
  • To have a right to work in the UK and be living in the UK for the duration of your employment.
  • To have access to a laptop or desktop computer with a stable internet connection during tuition sessions - minimum 5mbps upload and 10mbps download speed.
  • To have more than 8 hours availability during our opening times (after school and weekends).
