  • Support the Head of Risk, Governance and Assurance in overseeing the effectiveness of the corporate governance framework for Capital Delivery and its portfolio of works to meet its objectives.
  • Manage the annual compilation and approval of Capital Delivery's Self-Certification to Thames Water's Executive and Board through Internal Audit and monitor and report on the delivery of any improvement actions.
  • Build strong relationships with major discipline areas and other assurance providers in the PMO and Delivery Offices to facilitate a good understanding of the layers of assurance, their interfaces, and their effectiveness.
  • Support the leadership team and process owners to optimise assurance provision.
  • Identify and implement appropriate Performance Indicators to drive a proactive approach to assurance provision.
  • Provide support and cover in the administration, management, and development of our Business Management System.
  • Lead the team, with support from subject matter experts, to review the fitness of programmes and projects to proceed to governance (capital approvals).
  • Lead the Capital Delivery input to continuously improve business cases for programmes and projects (including quality management and workflow).

Requirements

We're looking for someone with a strong background in governance and assurance, comprehensive experience of undertaking formal reviews, such as audits, and leading a programme of assurance. You should also have knowledge of corporate governance, large construction projects, enterprise risk management processes, and programme and project management principles.
