Programme Development and Grants Manager
As a Programme Development and Grants Manager at the British Red Cross, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering FCDO and other UK ODA funded programmes that engage and achieve maximum benefit for affected populations.
Your key responsibilities will include ensuring that grant management requirements of the FCDO funded programme are met, increasing the British Red Cross' and the wider RCRC Movement's access to FCDO / UK ODA funding, and supporting BRC and partners to manage FCDO funding, develop high quality proposals, and compliance and accountability initiatives.
A day in the life of a Programme Development and Grants Manager will involve facilitating grant management on FCDO Accountable Grant Agreement (AGAs) and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), ensuring systems and processes are in place for monitoring the programme and for compliance with FCDO requirements such as safeguarding and due diligence.
You will also be responsible for grant managing FCDO emergency and long-term programmes, ensuring timely, accurate, high quality donor reports (narrative and financial) are submitted to the FCDO fund manager, and facilitating and supporting engagement with FCDO on multi-lateral funding opportunities for emergencies.
Key Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to have up to date knowledge of themes and issues of particular interest to FCDO, strong knowledge of FCDO funding priorities and procedural requirements, and experience building and maintaining partnerships and relationships.
You will also need to have proven skills in project / programme management techniques, processes and controls, including project planning, project change control, resource allocation, and team management.
Additionally, you will need to have experience grant managing government donor funding, providing support and advice to a diverse range of stakeholders based overseas, and establishing effective relationships to influence and enable decision making.
What We Offer
In return for your dedication and expertise, you will get a range of benefits, including holidays, pension scheme, flexible working, learning and development opportunities, discounts, wellbeing assistance, and team working.
We pride ourselves on our diverse workforce and ensuring we have an inclusive environment for all our staff and volunteers.
