Job Description

**Job Summary:**

Venrec Recruitment is seeking experienced Class 1 Haulage Drivers to join our client's team in the Sittingbourne area. As a Class 1 Haulage Driver, you will be responsible for transporting recycled waste and paper to various hubs, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Operate a Class 1 vehicle for general haulage of recycled waste and paper.
  • Deliver to hubs in various locations, adhering to schedules and deadlines.
  • Work a variety of shifts, including 12-hour days and nights, over a 7-day period.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Load and secure cargo, including opening and closing curtains and strapping loads.

**Requirements:**

  • Valid Class 1 driving license with a minimum of 1 year's recent driving experience.
  • Valid Digital Tachograph and CPC card.
  • No more than 6 points or have the relevant endorsement codes (DD or DR).
  • Compliance with all LGV driving rules and regulations.
  • Good roadcraft and geographical knowledge.

**Working Conditions:**

Shifts will be available over a 7-day period, starting at 06:00 hours or 18:00 hours. Work is all year round, with opportunities for full-time or part-time hours.

**Pay and Benefits:**

  • Competitive pay rates, including:
  • Days: £15.23 per hour (Monday to Friday)
  • Nights: £17.54 per hour (Monday to Friday)
  • Saturdays: £22.84 per hour (day), £26.31 per hour (night)
  • Sundays: £30.46 per hour (day), £35.87 per hour (night)
  • Bank Holidays: £30.46 per hour (day), £35.08 per hour (night)
