Chief Medical Officer

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our team as Group Chief Medical Officer (CMO). As a key member of our Group Executive leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our clinical strategy and ensuring the delivery of safe, compassionate, and effective care for our diverse population.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of our clinical strategy, working closely with the Chief Nursing Officer and other stakeholders.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical services across all sites, prioritizing patient safety and experience through robust clinical governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with the Director of Strategy and Partnerships to drive clinical transformation and ensure our hospitals are well-positioned to take advantage of new technologies and innovations.
- Provide leadership for several key group-wide functions, including Pharmacy, Public Health, and our Education Academy.
- Lead our research initiatives in collaboration with Queen Mary University of London and other academic establishments, ensuring they contribute to addressing health inequalities.
- Substantial experience at consultant level in a large teaching NHS Trust.
- An outstanding track record as a clinician and clinical leader, with a proven record of producing high-quality clinical services for patients.
- Significant senior medical leadership in a large teaching NHS Trust, preferably at Board level.
