Senior Sales Development Manager for Palletised Transport in the North East and Scotland

Freight Personnel, a leading privately owned palletised transport organisation in the UK, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to join their team. With over 40 years of experience, they operate across 11 sites in England and Scotland, employing over 480 people and utilising 220 vehicles.
Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have a self-motivated and customer-focused approach, with drive and determination to seek out and develop new business opportunities across the region of Durham and the North East. This dual territory role requires managing existing accounts worth approximately £7m pa across both areas, as well as developing new leads against agreed targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new business opportunities across Durham and the North East
- Manage existing accounts worth £7m pa across both areas
- Deliver rate reviews to existing customers and support operations with service-related queries
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills across all stakeholder levels, a confident and proactive approach to delivering results, and experience within the UK palletised transport sector. While experience in parcels and freight is also considered, a strong understanding of the industry is essential.
