Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Team Leader to join our Children's Residential Home in Stone, Staffordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people aged 6 to 17 who have experienced early life trauma, neglect, or abuse.

About the Role:

This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong leadership skills, a passion for supporting children and young people, and a commitment to their development. You will be responsible for planning and overseeing shifts with Residential Support Workers, managing risks, and staying informed on current legislation.

  • Plan and oversee shifts with Residential Support Workers
  • Manage risks in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Stay informed on current legislation, such as the Children's Homes Regulations 2015

To succeed in this role, you will need at least 1 year of relevant experience in children's or young adults' residential care within the last 5 years, a full manual driving licence, and a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care (or equivalent). Our ideal candidate will also have a willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and a passion for supporting children and young people.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary (£37,000 inclusive of sleep-in allowance) plus overtime at time and a third, access to employee wellbeing programs, and 28 days annual leave increasing to 33 days with 5 years of service. They will also have the opportunity to complete a funded Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare and benefit from clear paths for career progression across various services.
