Desktop Surveyor Role Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Desktop Surveyor to join our team at Densell Recruitment. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for reviewing reports, information, and photos of property damage, and preparing scopes of work for reinstatement repairs following an insurance claim.

The ideal candidate will have experience with estimating software like Blueprint, Xactimate, Symbility, or similar. While training can be provided, prior knowledge of these systems is highly desirable.

The role will initially be home-based until May 2025, then transition to a hybrid role with 3 days/week in our Watford office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing surveys, reports, photos, and videos to estimate costs
• Preparing scopes of work
• Planning and overseeing projects to completion (up to £20k)
• Updating our company system and client portals
• Dealing with variation orders and approvals
• Preparing relevant paperwork, including CPP/RAMs
• Liaising with policyholders, loss adjusters, and insurance companies

Requirements:

• Surveying or scoping experience
• Claim handling or works scheduling experience in a contractor environment (insurance repairs) with scope knowledge
• Confident IT/PC user, ideally with experience using estimating software like Blueprint, Xactimate, Symbility, or similar
• Happy to work in an office as part of a team
