About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Bariatric Surgery Fellow. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our comprehensive bariatric surgery service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in theatre sessions and provide inpatient care, including conducting daily ward rounds and supporting the RMO with clinical enquiries.
  • Cover weekday out-of-hour patient emergency calls and enquiries, as well as weekend on-call duties.
  • Conduct follow-up clinics for NHS patients and new patient consultations.
  • Answer clinical enquiries and liaise with other hospital teams as needed.
  • Participate in clinical audits and contribute to the development of our clinical research programme.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Full GMC registration.
  • Peri-CCT level in General Surgery (or equivalent).
  • Good laparoscopic surgery skills with previous experience in laparoscopic fundoplication and/or intra-corporeal suturing.
  • Meticulous clinical standards and an excellent work ethic.
  • Excellent English language skills.
