Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Director to join our UK office. Reporting to our Chief Inclusion Officer, this role will be instrumental in advancing our DEI initiatives across our UK and European offices. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of driving DEI strategies and fostering an inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement DEI strategies, programs, and initiatives across our UK and European offices.
  • Collaborate with our leadership team and global DEI team to align local initiatives with global DEI goals and priorities.
  • Provide guidance and support to senior leaders, partners, and HR teams on DEI matters, promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Oversee our diversity recruitment and retention strategies, ensuring a diverse pipeline of legal talent.
  • Drive engagement with affinity groups, diversity committees, and external networks to promote a culture of inclusion.
  • Develop and deliver DEI training programs and workshops, tailored to both legal and non-legal professionals.
  • Represent our firm at industry events, conferences, and external forums to enhance our DEI profile.
  • Partner with clients, professional organisations, and community groups to promote collaborative DEI initiatives and partnerships.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a senior DEI leadership role within a law firm is essential.
  • Strong understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices, particularly within the professional services sector.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing DEI strategies, programs, and policies.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience in delivering DEI training and workshops.
  • A genuine passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
