Job Title: Machine Operator

At Taylor Higson, we are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain machinery to meet production targets
  • Verify job details before feeding the press to ensure accuracy
  • Work collaboratively to achieve production goals and maintain a safe working environment
  • Inspect pallets after cutting and complete daily quality checklists to ensure quality standards are met
  • Perform make-ready and preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime
  • Record and report production information, time, and materials usage accurately
  • Assist with hand packing duties as needed to meet customer requirements
  • Adhere to company safety protocols, hygiene procedures, and allergy management to ensure a safe working environment
  • Communicate quality concerns or customer complaints to supervisors promptly
Requirements:
  • Proven experience operating machinery in a production/manufacturing background
  • Desirable experience operating Die Cutting Machinery (Bobst, Asahi etc)
  • Experience with hand jacks, electric pallet jacks, and forklifts is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £12.50ph / £26,000pa, dependent on experience, plus benefits including overtime, early finish Fridays, fantastic progression opportunities, excellent private pension scheme, competitive holiday allowance, and much more.
