Urology Consultant Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Urology Consultant to join our clinical team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient-centered care, maintaining a broad range of experience in general elective and emergency urology, and contributing to the development of our urology services.
Main Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring a high standard of service and maintaining a patient-centered approach.
- Contribute to the day-to-day management of the urology service, participating in strategic planning and decision-making.
- Teach and train multidisciplinary teams, including undergraduates, doctors in training, and other colleagues.
- Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to clinical governance activities.
- Participate in continuing medical education, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in urology.

We are looking for a consultant with the following qualifications and experience:
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or, be within 6 months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at time of interview or, provide GMC confirmed eligibility for entry on the Specialist Register.
- FRCS (Urol) or qualification of an equivalent level.
- Broad range of experience in general elective and emergency urology, including a subspecialty to complement existing ones.
- Ability to offer and be accountable for full and independent expert diagnostic opinion.
- Demonstrates an interest and commitment to the specialty.
- Experience of supervising undergraduates, doctors in training, and other colleagues.
