Cleaning Operative

Job Purpose:
As a Cleaning Operative at EMCOR UK, you will be responsible for undertaking duties as directed and responding to reactive requests, providing best practice in all cleaning activities to uphold company values and meet contractual deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure good housekeeping of equipment and consumables, as well as storage areas.
- Carry out cleaning tasks to meet agreed standards and prioritize workload accordingly.
- Report any repairs noticed during cleaning duties.
- Respond promptly to service shortfalls identified.
- Conduct daily maintenance on machinery, as trained, and report any issues.
- Perform additional or special cleans as instructed.
- Ensure adequate stocks of consumables are available in nominated cleaning stores and request replenishments as necessary.
- Attend and complete training as required.
- Use chemicals and equipment safely and effectively.
- Liaise with customers and clients in a professional manner, escalating issues as required.
- Maintain a safe working environment, reporting any health and safety risks or hazards.
Person Specification:
- Previous experience in workplace cleaning is an advantage.
- Good timekeeping and customer service skills.
- Methodical and meticulous approach to work.
- Ability to read and speak English to ensure safe working practices.
