About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for supporting all mechanical designs and conducting Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Thermal Analysis (CFD). You will also provide our customers with a direct point of contact while liaising with manufacturers and test houses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support all mechanical designs and conduct FEA and CFD analysis
  • Provide customers with a direct point of contact and liaise with manufacturers and test houses
  • Sign off all mechanical designs and ensure compliance to applicable requirements
  • Produce, review, and approve technical documentation to support on-time programme delivery
  • Organise all Computer Aided Design (CAD) aspects to perform efficiently and effectively using a variety of CAD applications
Requirements
  • Strong experience in a Mechanical Design Engineering position
  • Engineering degree in a related discipline or extensive mechanical design experience without a degree
  • Understanding and working knowledge of mechanical related Defence Standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure in a complex and rapidly changing environment
