About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our BaSE team as a BaSE Specialist Automation Engineer. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting, calibrating, and adjusting plant floor devices to ensure optimal performance. You'll also sort calls and breakdowns, expediting their completion, and provide critical information to maintenance mechanics to resolve breakdown situations.

Located in Stanford Le Hope, this role offers a unique blend of challenges and opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for the BaSE department during sorts.
  • Lead a team of engineers, driving collaboration and excellence.
  • Take PLC backups and troubleshoot using PLC software, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Respond to internal customers, providing timely and effective support.
  • Address facility alarms and emergencies, demonstrating quick thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Troubleshoot problems that arise, applying technical expertise and creativity.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, ensuring equipment runs efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in S7 software, including Tia Portal, Proneta, Primary setup tool, and Simatic manager.
  • A Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in engineering, preferred but not required.
  • Programming experience, including troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, motor control theory, and operation, including AC and DC electrical troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, essential for daily tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and elementary diagrams, showcasing analytical skills.
