HGV Class 2 Driver

We are seeking a skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Transport division in Hams Hall.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with typical start times between 2am-6am.
Hourly Rate: £15.36 per hour, paid weekly.
- Multi-drop experience is preferred. The successful candidate must be fit and able to perform the job.
- Overtime availability on weekends is available, with overtime paid at time and a half after 39 hours.

The Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Transport Managers to ensure the smooth operation of the division.
- Ensuring the vehicle is always legal and roadworthy, with daily checks completed in line with the 'Daily Vehicle Check Sheet' and 'Guide to maintaining road worthiness'.
- Completing multi-drop deliveries in a timely and safe manner.
- Carrying out manual and pallet pump truck work with certain drop-offs.
- Driving the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law.
- Driving within tachograph law and driver hour limits.
- Ensuring the correct goods have been loaded and are secure before moving the vehicle.
- Checking goods off with customers and obtaining signatures.
- Being aware of the vehicle inspection rota for servicing and MOT, and bringing any issues to the Transport Manager's attention.
- Maintaining DCPC periodic training hours and completing training within the five-year period.
Requirements:
- At least two years' Class 2 driving experience and a valid Class 2 license.
- A full valid driving license, Digi-Tacho holder, DQC card holder, and Driver CPC.
- Good driving skills and knowledge of current Road Transport Regulations, with comfort working night shifts.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Numerical and focused on accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to operate tail lift and PPT.
- Multi-drop experience.
