Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Team Member to join our team at AccorHotel in Edinburgh South Bridge.

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out regular safety and maintenance inspections across the hotel to create a safe and pleasant environment for all colleagues, guests, and visitors.

You will actively contribute to the comfort of guests and visitors by undertaking various general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electricity, telecommunications, heat, carpentry, and decorating. You will also conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment and handle basic repairs and maintenance requirements.

In addition, you will assist in record keeping and maintain a daily log of repairs and maintenance of assets and equipment.

You will take responsibility for identifying areas of improvement within your range of operation, including risk awareness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out regular safety and maintenance inspections
  • Undertake various general maintenance tasks
  • Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment
  • Handle basic repairs and maintenance requirements
  • Assist in record keeping and maintain a daily log of repairs and maintenance
  • Identify areas of improvement within your range of operation

Our hotel offers 259 rooms with our own in-house Foggs bar and restaurant serving food & drink all day. We are located in the heart of the city.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be fluent in English and have knowledge of other languages would be beneficial.

You should have good communication skills, be able to work in a team, and have a guest-oriented service-minded attitude with attention to detail.

A 'can-do' attitude, operational mindset, and hands-on approach are essential for this role.

You should be autonomous and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
