Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pre-Construction Manager to join our Design and Construction team (D&C) within Amazon Global Engineering Services (GESS). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing complex industrial projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in coordinating with design teams and project stakeholders. You will work closely with internal and external teams to drive results, make informed decisions, and negotiate contracts with developers, general contractors, and design consultants.

This role requires a high level of organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. You will oversee the implementation of Amazon's safety programs and standards, ensuring that all projects meet the company's quality and sustainability requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex industrial projects from site selection to design completion, permitting, and contract execution
  • Coordinate with design teams and project stakeholders to contribute to team performance
  • Negotiate contracts with developers, general contractors, and design consultants
  • Oversee the implementation of Amazon's safety programs and standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a comparable field
  • Solid project management experience from design phase through implementation and operation
  • Experience working in packaging processing/logistical facilities with complex equipment
  • Fluent in English and German, with knowledge of other languages
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout Europe (up to 30% of the time)

Salary Range: €120,000 - €180,000 per year, depending on experience
