Lead IoT Engineer at Kpler Group

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead IoT Engineer to join our team at Kpler Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our IoT solutions and ensuring the highest quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of IoT engineers, providing technical guidance and coaching.
  • Architect, design, and implement scalable and maintainable IoT architectures and embedded systems.
  • Drive best practices for code quality, testing, and performance optimisation throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
  • Serve as a technical leader and advocate for IoT engineering best practices across the organisation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on embedded system design and development.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript or Python with a deep understanding of IoT frameworks and libraries.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment, with a focus on iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience working with fleet-management tools (preferred balena).
  • Experience working on maritime-related IoT/data.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms and experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
