About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dispensing Assistant to join our team at Campden Surgery. As a Dispensing Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medicines to our patients.

Main Responsibilities

Processing prescriptions from patient requests, including online, telephone, and in-person requests.

Dispensing prescriptions, including controlled drugs, in accordance with practice guidelines.

Ordering stock and monitoring stock levels to ensure efficient dispensing operations.

Communicating with patients regarding medication reviews and providing advice on prescription matters.

Collaborating with staff to ensure the recall system is effective and that drug alerts and supply issue notifications are actioned promptly.

Collecting prescription charges and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements

We are looking for an individual with excellent customer service skills, flexibility to cover various shifts, and the ability to work as part of a team.

A minimum of an NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services certificate is essential, and experience of using Systmone clinical system is desirable.

Campden Surgery is a friendly, small, rural surgery in the North Cotswolds, with a dispensing list size of around 20% of our patients.
