About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at WHSmith in Basildon Hospital. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and working independently or as part of a team to deliver our store standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and other beverages to customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the cafe area.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and maintain store standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer-facing role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
