Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Everlast Gyms in Epsom. As a key member of our leadership team, you'll be responsible for driving all revenue lines, managing controllable costs, and ensuring exceptional member experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Everlast Gyms as an ambassador for fitness, demonstrating our elevated ways of working at all times.
  • Drive all revenue lines from membership sales to product and secondary sales, to drive overall profitability of the gym.
  • Effectively manage controllable costs, such as stock orders and cleaning supplies, to eliminate wastage and overspend.
  • Lead by example on reception and the gym floor, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and presentation at all times.
  • Ensure central processes, such as FUNDAMENTALS, ASCEND, and MOVE, are followed and delivered to the highest level consistently.
  • Drive collective buy-in to national focuses and incentives, such as #WorkoutWednesday and #WeCommunicate.
  • Lead the recruiting, monitoring, training, and onboarding of new team members within your gym.
  • Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly operational processes are completed consistently and to a high standard.
  • Willing and able to deliver honest, constructive feedback regularly to support all team members in achieving their potential.
  • Reporting facilities and maintenance-related issues in accordance with best practice guidelines.
Requirements
  • Passion for health, fitness, and wellness.
  • Level 2 qualification in fitness (desirable).
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Adaptability in communication and management style depending on the team member and their drivers.
  • A positive, solutions-driven mindset in the face of adversity.
  • A member champion mentality with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Driven and ambitious with a keen desire to learn and develop both behaviours and competencies specific to the role.
  • Flexibility in working hours and location to support the needs of the business, including weekends and Bank Holidays when required.
