About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our well-established and respected adult multi-disciplinary community neurological team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for assessing and treating adults with a variety of neurological conditions, providing rehabilitation, disability management, and end-of-life care. The team offers a comprehensive splinting service and vocational rehabilitation, working closely with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Dieticians, Clinical Neuropsychologists, and Clinical Nurse Specialists.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with complex neurological presentations and multiple pathologies.
  • Develop and deliver specialist treatment programs, adapting techniques to fit the community environment and available resources.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.

Our main site is a principal teaching hospital, shared with a university that trains medical students and conducts advanced medical research. We provide a wide range of specialist care and community services to patients of all ages.

Person Specification

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist with:

  • Diploma/BSc/Post Graduate Diploma/MSc in Occupational Therapy, registered with the HealthCare Professions Council.
  • Evidence of recent relevant continuing professional development.
  • Experience in elderly, neurology, general medicine, or community work.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce and deliver a quality service to people from different backgrounds.
