Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care and Support Associate to join our team at People Recruit Limited

Key Responsibilities

As a Care and Support Associate, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to individuals in need, promoting their wellbeing and independence

  • Provide personalised care and support to individuals with daily tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration
  • Foster positive relationships and provide emotional support to individuals, creating a nurturing and supportive environment
  • Implement tailored care plans to meet the unique needs and preferences of each individual, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times
  • Monitor individual progress and document changes in their condition, maintaining clear communication with healthcare professionals and team members
  • Promote independence and empower individuals to develop life skills and participate in community activities
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and infection control measures

Essential Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will need to have

  • Mandatory Training in care and support aligned to the UK Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF Mandatory Training)
  • CPI Training (formerly MAPA)
  • The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach towards providing care and support
  • Flexible availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and remain calm under pressure

Desirable Criteria

Additional training or qualifications related to mental health, learning disabilities, or complex needs would be beneficial
