Software Development Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background and strong planning and organizational skills. In this role, you will be responsible for leading or assisting in requirements elicitation for major enterprise projects and leading smaller projects through to completion. You will work closely with our Technology team, reporting to the CTO and collaborating with Product Owners. Key responsibilities include delivering company products to market, developing technical requirements documents, and collaborating with clients and Project Managers on planning and requirements definition.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver company products to market
• Develop technical requirements documents and use cases for new product features
• Collaborate with clients and Project Managers on planning and requirements definition
• Own the product backlog, facilitate discussions, and user story grooming
• Liaise with the Product Manager, Data Analysts, CTO, and stakeholders to define platform data requirements
• Monitor project status, supporting new feature developments
• Conduct business-level verification of new features
• Provide regular updates and manage stakeholder communication and reporting
Requirements:
• Five years of commercial experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Product Owner
• Experience managing a successful software product or online system throughout its life-cycle
• Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
• Proficient in Microsoft Office product suite
• Strong planning and organizational skills, able to handle multiple projects
• Knowledge of agile software development processes (Jira experience essential)
• Experience with general project management including problem facilitation, business case development, process mapping, and process redesigning
• Implementation skillset: requirement and process analysis, research, recommendation, building, testing, documentation, and support
• Ability to learn new technologies and software with high technical aptitude
• Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum
