About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a school in Hedge End. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment for students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with learning needs, implementing individualised education plans and collaborating with teachers and other professionals to ensure effective support.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their well-being and engagement in the learning process.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure a holistic support system for students.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to work with students in a one-on-one setting and in small groups who have learning difficulties.
  • Ability to arrange educational activities based on student proficiency with assistance from a teacher.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Development of social skills and assistance with individual needs.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Providing counselling and academic help.
  • Experience working with young individuals with special needs is preferred.
