Procurement Manager for Supply Chain Optimization

Freedom Group is seeking a Senior Commercial professional to support the management of current contracts and assist in new Tenders. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, this role will involve working closely with the Commercial Managers and flexing across Direct and Indirect categories to include Sub-Contractors, Civils, Utilities, Cabling, Switchgears, and Transformers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the supply chain in your operational business units to maximize value for that business unit and the wider division.
  • Develop and maintain supply chain relationships to deliver exemplar performance, bring technical innovation, and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Lead supplier performance reviews, record output, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans as necessary.
  • Support bid teams with up-to-date and accurate procurement data and sub-contractor/supplier costs.
  • Work with Operational teams to ensure sub-contractors and suppliers are the best fit for the contract and continue to deliver value for contract retention and customer satisfaction.
  • Support operational delivery teams in pre-commencement periods through the publication of known SLAs and the development of contract-specific, value-adding SLAs with key suppliers.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in project-based Procurement with confidence, knowledge, and drive.
  • Managed project procurement spends of £2m+.
  • Lead Procurement Projects from start to finish.
  • Mix of direct and indirect procurement experience and capability.
