About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team as an Early Intervention Specialist. This innovative role will focus on providing therapeutic brief interventions within schools and educational settings to prevent children and young people from requiring secondary care.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our STICK team to provide creative interventions and support groups, while also contributing to the development of new services and programs. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of child and adolescent mental health services in Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic brief interventions to children and young people within schools and educational settings.
  • Collaborate with the STICK team to develop and deliver creative interventions and support groups.
  • Contribute to the development of new services and programs to improve child and adolescent mental health outcomes.
  • Work closely with other professionals to ensure seamless care and support for children and young people.

Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., nursing, occupational therapy, social work).
  • Experience working with children and young people in mental health settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
