Job Description

Our transport team at Great Bear is seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Transport Department, ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Debriefing drivers and ensuring accurate completion of timesheets and PODs.
  • Verifying the accuracy of PODs and scanning and storing them using our document management system.
  • Preparing drivers' wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence, along with relevant delivery information.
  • Printing despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required.
  • Answering telephone inquiries and assisting with customer queries.
  • Downloading drivers' cards and tachographs.
  • Communicating estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) to Customer Services.
  • Updating spreadsheets, including change-overs, run summaries, and trailer check sheets.
  • Departing and completing loads using our Transport Management System (TMS).
  • Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads.
  • Tracking all trailers.

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Positive and adaptable attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills to deliver accurate information.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
  • Effective prioritization of workload to meet set deadlines.
  • Good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
  • Able to work as part of a team or individually.
