About the Role
">We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Ward Manager at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong clinical background and leadership skills to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Job Summary
">The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and motivation to develop existing staff, while maintaining high professional standards and demonstrating commitment to staff development and patient care. A key aspect of this role will be to promote and maintain extremely high standards of care, whilst supporting and assisting the Modern Matron to implement local and national strategies and initiatives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
">Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clinical leadership and guidance to nursing teams to ensure high-quality patient care;
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes;
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless care pathways;
- Mentoring and coaching junior staff members to enhance their skills and confidence;
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives to drive excellence in patient care;
Requirements and Qualifications
">To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or equivalent qualification;
- Post-graduate experience in a leadership role, preferably in a similar healthcare setting;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders;
- A proven track record of developing and implementing effective policies and procedures;
- An understanding of current legislation and guidelines related to mental health care.
