We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our client, a specialist college, supporting students aged 16-25 with complex difficulties and learning challenges, including Autism, physical disabilities, and multiple learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to enhance students' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and other support staff to implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
- Help manage challenging behaviours by employing positive reinforcement techniques.
- Encourage student independence and self-advocacy through skill-building activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with special educational needs, preferably in an educational setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people and a commitment to their personal development.
- Current safeguarding training is highly desirable.
- An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
We estimate that this role will come with a salary of £90,000 - £105,000 per annum.
