We are committed to providing an exceptional experience for our employees. As a ASB & Hate Crime Coordinator, you will be part of a dynamic team that prioritizes public safety and well-being. Your role will involve coordinating police recording actions for all ASB and hate crime incidents, following up internal and national processes, and ensuring supervisor reviews are completed and systems updated. You will work closely with key partner organisations, including statutory authorities and other agencies around ASB and hate crime responses.

You will serve as a point of contact for individuals and communities, building relationships to increase trust and confidence and encourage reporting of individual concerns, community tensions, and hate crime incidents. You will also be an internal point of contact, giving advice to colleagues and sharing information primarily with the Neighbourhood Policing teams but also across Sussex Police.

Able to manage email accounts for certain crime types, liaising with Prevention Sergeants to ensure appropriate tasks are undertaken, you will develop strong connections with support providers to establish a local ASB and Hate Crime Network. Promoting and circulating ASB and Hate Crime information and resources to relevant service providers, sharing best practices, and encouraging increased reporting will be key aspects of your role.
