Job Summary

The Moray Council is seeking a highly skilled ICT/AV Technician to provide technical support services to all departments, members of staff, pupils, and other stakeholders in the school.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in a minimum of one area of ICT/Technical/AV and be qualified to HNC level in a relevant field, such as Electrical/Electronic Engineering or ICT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized ICT and AV support services to meet the technical needs of the school community.
  • Ensure the health and safety of staff, pupils, and visitors by adhering to relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of technical equipment and materials.
  • Develop and deliver in-service training and professional development programs for staff.
  • Manage financial resources and make informed decisions regarding technical purchases and upgrades.

Requirements

  • Expertise in a minimum of one area of ICT/Technical/AV.
  • Qualification to HNC level in a relevant field, such as Electrical/Electronic Engineering or ICT.
  • Proven time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Working Arrangements

This is a temporary appointment for a period of 6 months, working 21.75 hours per week (3 days per week - Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday).

The starting salary is £29.10 per hour, with a total annual salary of £15,466.40.
