Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our Community Integrated Neurology and Stroke Service (CINSS) team. As a key member of our specialist team, you will work closely with Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Neuropsychology, Neurology Rehabilitation Consultant, and Generic Rehabilitation Technical Instructors to provide patient-centered, goal-directed specialist neurological rehabilitation in community and outpatient settings.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide effective management and clinical leadership of the Occupational Therapy team within Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland.
  • Act as an expert for the multi-agency team and for patients within the relevant field, utilizing your specialist knowledge and experience.
  • Hold your own caseload and support other team members with caseload management.
  • Line manage the team and ensure high-level communication skills and negotiation are used to deliver complex clinical information to patients and staff.
  • Participate in the development of quality improvements for service delivery and lead in the development of OT quality standards, local clinical guidelines, and trust policies and procedures.
