Academic Support Worker

We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to provide 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across Goole and Selby. This exciting opportunity is perfect for those who are passionate about making a positive impact on young lives.
About the RoleAs a Teaching Support Professional, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for our students. Your primary responsibility will be to provide individualized support to pupils with SEN, including ASC, ADHD, medical needs, and behaviour issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN to help them access the curriculum and achieve their academic potential
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Use positive behaviour management techniques to promote a calm and respectful classroom environment
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
- A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience of working with pupils with SEN, particularly in EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
