Role Overview
As a Store Manager Designate at Vision Express, you will embark on a 6-month training and development program to prepare you for the role of a Store Manager. This program is designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the role. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, managing your colleagues, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, and meeting sales targets. You will also handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, inventory management, and financial reporting. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating a positive and productive work environment for your team, ensuring that all employees are trained and supported in their roles. You will also manage the recruitment process for your store with the support of your peers, including your Regional Manager and the Store Support Centre colleagues. You will be part of the Buckinghamshire region, supporting stores in this area.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify areas for improvement. You will also need to have great communication and rapport-building skills, with the ability to translate professional terminology into language understanding for patients. You will also need to have exceptional attention to detail in maintaining accurate customer records, prescriptions, and requirements. You will also need to be able to work under pressure and handle challenging situations in a fast-paced retail environment. You will also need to have confidence, passion, drive, and enthusiasm, with the ability to support your colleagues in store and provide training and coaching sessions to ensure everyone is working to the best of their ability. You will also need to have the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the whole store team, including Eye Care Professionals, Optical Assistants, and Management. You will also need to have the ability to support the instore recruitment process and manage the recruitment for your store with the support of your peers.
