MEWPS Engineer Role Overview Key Responsibilities As a MEWPS Engineer with the AFI group of companies, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of our fleet of rental machines. This will involve:
  • Conducting pre-delivery inspections (PDIs), services, LOLER inspections, repairs, and manufacturer updates
  • Responding to breakdowns on customer sites in a timely and efficient manner
  • Accurately recording all necessary checks using a company-issued PDA, adhering to company procedure at all times
  • Collaborating with the engineering team and hire office to maintain maximum machine availability
Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills:
  • Mobile engineer expertise
  • Engineering knowledge
  • NVQ level 2 qualification
  • Plant maintenance experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Diagnostics and troubleshooting abilities
  • Experience with PDI, servicing, LOLER inspections, and repairs
  • Knowledge of powered access equipment
