Job Title: Hygiene Manager

Location: Hams Hall, Coleshill

Salary: £33,000.00 per annum increasing to £35,000.00 p/a within 6 months' subject to probation.

Job Purpose:

Our client, a national Facilities Management Company, is seeking a Hygiene Manager to work within a Sainsbury's distribution Centre in Hams Hill, Coleshill. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational performance, delivering excellent service, and demonstrating continuous improvement in service delivery, process, and engagement with colleagues and clients.

The Hygiene Manager will act as a single point of contact for all Cleaning issues across the Site. The role involves managing a team of up to 30 cleaners in a fast-paced and demanding retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, demonstrating company values at all times.
  • Provide a key interface between on-site clients and contracted service providers on a day-to-day basis.
  • Monitor and report on service level agreements and key performance indicators internal and external.
  • Track and report on financial performance to ensure all services are delivered within agreed budgets and service levels.
  • Develop and maintain a continuous improvement review and development of initiatives to improve or rationalise services or processes to achieve optimum performance and full customer engagement.
  • Manage departmental audits and statutory compliance plans to achieve and maintain legal status.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure their expectations are met while working within defined specifications.
  • Manage the performance of staff in consultation with an HR representative, taking necessary actions to develop staff or improve performance.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing and motivating people in a demanding environment, with experience in managing staff, payroll, and rotas. They should be prepared to be hands-on and clean with the team as and when required.

Requirements:

  • FM experience across Soft Services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience of managing a team.
  • Proficient in using IT/Microsoft programmes (Outlook & Excel).
  • Sound knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH legislation.
  • Confidentiality and data protection awareness.
