Fire Safety Consultant Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fire Safety Consultant to join our expanding team. As a Fire Safety Consultant, you will be responsible for undertaking fire risk assessments and audits, providing general consultancy support and advice to our clients. You will work on a combination of site-based and home-based projects, with a focus on delivering high-quality reports and supporting clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake fire risk assessments and audits for commercial properties
  • Provide consultancy support and advice to clients on fire safety matters
  • Work on site-based projects, conducting fire safety inspections and assessments
  • Prepare and submit high-quality reports to clients
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver projects and meet client needs
Requirements
  • High-level fire-related qualification (degree or Level 4 or 5 Diploma minimum)
  • Experience in undertaking commercial Fire Risk Assessments (minimum of 5 years)
  • Experience in undertaking Type 1 and Type 3 residential Fire Risk Assessments (minimum of 5 years)
  • Thorough knowledge of current legislation, Building Regulations, and British Standards
  • Good report writing, IT, and communication skills
  • Experience with completing Passive Fire Protection Surveys
  • Compilation of Retrospective Fire Strategy documents
  • An understanding of smoke control calculations and thermal radiation analyses
  • Health and Safety qualifications such as NEBOSH Certificate
