Job Description

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in leading electrical designs across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical engineering design on multiple projects
  • Liaise with external design teams and ensure coordination of building services design
  • Carry out electrical load calculations and software calculations for equipment and low voltage infrastructure sizing
  • Delegate tasks to junior engineers where appropriate
  • Produce design packages including sketches, drawings, stage reports, specifications, and technical schedules
  • Liaise with equipment manufacturers and utility suppliers to review technical equipment selections and ensure they meet design requirements
  • Ensure design complies with relevant building regulations, planning policy, British standards, and CIBSE guidelines
  • Delegate tasks to junior team members, share knowledge, and offer guidance
  • Seek and record evidence of continuing professional development in accordance with CIBSE or IET guidelines
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years' employment as an electrical engineer in building services
  • Good degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering or other relevant engineering degree
  • CIBSE or IET membership desirable
  • Competent in using 2D AutoCAD and modelling/BIM software such as REVIT
  • Proficiency level on electrical software's such as Amtech, Eplan, Dialux, PVSyst
