The Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary leader to establish a Strategic Events and Showcasing Team at University of the Arts London (UAL). This pivotal role will shape how we showcase our vibrant community, cutting-edge research, and world-class creativity through dynamic and innovative events that span the creative industries.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with UAL's senior leadership, academic departments, gallerists, events teams, and community engagement leaders to design and execute a university-wide strategic approach to events and showcasing. This will involve coordinating activity, developing capability, and building the infrastructure on which our teams can shine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive events and showcasing strategy that aligns with UAL's goals and objectives
  • Lead the Strategic Events and Showcasing Team to design and execute events and showcasing initiatives that showcase UAL's creative industries
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, academic departments, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including gallerists, events teams, and community engagement leaders
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of events and showcasing initiatives, making recommendations for improvement
About You

We are looking for an innovative leader who is passionate and knowledgeable about audience development and events strategy. You will have strong communication skills, with an ability to adapt style to connect with diverse audiences and the ability to create a compelling case for support as well as producing strategic plans and reports for senior leaders.
