Job Overview

Probe UK is seeking a skilled Purchasing Coordinator to join its dynamic team in the UK. As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth procurement of materials for the company's production facility.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a salary of approximately £32,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, the role offers a range of benefits, including:

  • A 35-hour working week, with an hour's lunch break from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday
  • A 23-day holiday entitlement, rising to 25 days after five years' service, plus Bank Holidays
  • An enhanced maternity, paternity, and shared parental leave pay package
  • A death in service benefit equivalent to two times annual salary
Job Responsibilities

As a Purchasing Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing daily stock requirement reports and placing purchase orders using established suppliers and pricing structures
  • Maintaining safety stocks and ensuring compliance with stock parameters and warehouse capacity
  • Monitoring purchase orders to ensure timely delivery, quality, and specifications
  • Maintaining regular communication with suppliers to resolve any issues or concerns
  • Collaborating with the Accounts and Buyers teams to resolve invoice queries
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • An ability to balance conflicting demands and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a purchasing or procurement role
  • A strong understanding of procurement principles and practices
