KS1 Learning Mentor

A rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a wonderful primary school in Waltham Forest. As a KS1 Learning Mentor, you will be working closely with a pupil who requires additional support, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Work 1:1 with a KS1 pupil, tailoring your support to meet their specific needs
- Engage and motivate the pupil, encouraging their participation in classroom activities
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to ensure consistent support and effective implementation of individual learning strategies
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with special educational needs and a strong understanding of how to promote inclusion and accessibility in the classroom. You will be part of a vibrant school community that celebrates diversity and ensures every child receives the care and attention they deserve.
